You have questions. wE have answers.

The answers to our most asked questions! Want more information on what you will need to be prepared for your guided fishing trip? Visit out “Be Prepared For Your Charter” page!

Do you only fish out of Cedar Key, FL?

No! Captain Travis offers guided trips all along the big bend area of the Gulf Coast. He most often launches out of Cedar Key, Suwannee Town, Horseshoe, or Steinhatchee for all of his guided saltwater charters. For freshwater charters Capt. Travis will travel to many different lakes and rivers throughout North Central Florida.

If you are staying in one of the quaint towns along the Gulf, Captain Travis will work hard to coordinate with your location. While we regularly meet clients that are staying in Cedar Key, Suwannee Town, Horseshoe beach, and Steinhatchee we try to pick a destination where the fish are biting best. For your best chances at a large redfish, trout, or snook you will want to follow the fish!

How many people can you take?

All of our fishing charters are designed for 1-4 clients to maximize casting opportunities. We want to ensure that our clients will receive our full attention!

Is this a private fishing charter?

Yes! You will be the only party on the boat during your fishing adventure with Captain Travis Blucher. We believe that our anglers deserve our full attention!

What’s included in our guided fishing trip?

Our full service guided charters include: Florida fishing licenses for up to four people, rods and reels, bait and lures, a cooler with ice, and photos of your catch.

How much do your guided fishing trips cost?

Fishing charters start around $350 to $550 depending on the type of trip you are interested in and how many people will be included. For more detailed information on the price of our guided fishing trips click here!

Are tips required?

You do not have to tip, however it is highly appreciated if you do! If you feel that your fishing guide worked hard to help you catch fish, 10-20% is the customary amount when tipping fishing charter captains.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Weather cancellations are at the discretion of the captain. Fish will still bite in the rain but our first priority is our clients safety! If it is lightning, heavy downpours, or high winds, we will make the greatest effort to reschedule your trip quickly.

Can we keep the fish that we catch?

Catch and release is encouraged to help maintain Florida’s fisheries. However, if you would like to keep your catch to eat we recommend bringing a small cooler with ice or ice packs to keep in your car. Captain Travis Blucher will clean and package your fish for you to take home, at no additional cost.
