One of the most common questions I get is: “What’s the difference between inshore and nearshore fishing?” Great question, and it’s key to choosing the right charter.
Inshore Fishing
Inshore trips keep us in shallow, protected waters, usually 1 to 4 feet deep. We target Redfish, Trout, Snook, and the occasional Flounder or Sheepshead. It’s calm, family-friendly, and great for beginners or fly anglers.
Nearshore Fishing
On a nearshore charter, we’ll head just offshore, to fish grass flats or deeper structure. It’s where you’ll find bigger action: Tripletail, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, and more. It’s still manageable for most skill levels but offers more fight.
If you’re not sure which is right for your crew, I’m happy to recommend a trip based on your goals and experience.
